In this study, we found that TGP treatment significantly decreased the expression of ERα by up-regulating ERα promoter methylation levels. Further investigation revealed that treatment with TGP increased the expression of DNMT in lupus mice. We also used DNA methyltransferase inhibitors to verify whether DNA methylation was involved in these process. HE staining results showed that TGP can reduce renal injury in SLE mice.
