Oregon National Guard Members Oppose Judgment Motion Filed By Iraq War Contractors

PORTLAND, Ore. - Oregon National Guard members who were awarded $85 million on Nov. 2 in a bellwether trial in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon for hexavalent chromium exposure during a Restore Iraqi Oil mission filed briefs on Jan. 8 and Jan. 11 opposing a defense motion to find their counsel in contempt of court for violating the trial gag order and a defense motion for a judgment notwithstanding the verdict (Rocky Bixby, et al. v. KBR, Inc., et al., No. 09-632, D. Ore.; 2012 U.S. Dist. 179494; See 1/8/13, Page 4).
