Tools to Help Care for Older Adults in Disasters

The National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health (NCDMPH) and the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) presented this 33-minute webinar to highlight NCDMPH ’s Caring for Older Adults in Disasters curriculum, which enables educators to teach health professionals about caring for older adults in disasters and can be used by a wide range of health professions. It also highlights the latest Capacity-Building Toolkit for including Aging and Disability Net works in Emergency Planning, authored by the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO).
