EMSY expression affects multiple components of skin barrier with relevance to atopic dermatitis

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is highly heritable but molecular mechanisms require detailed investigation. A combination of genomic data, in vitro modelling and clinical biopsies, demonstrate that EMSY plays a role in skin barrier formation of relevance to AD.
