Appendicitis Secondary to a Fractured, Penetrating Celect IVC Filter in a Young Kidney Transplant Recipient
This report describes the unusual complication of a tilted, penetrating, and fractured Cook Celect (Bloomington, IN) inferior vena cava (IVC) filter in a young patient that resulted in appendicitis and was exempt from institutional review board approval at the originating institution.
