Semi-Automated Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy Planning for Post-Operative Radiotherapy in Endometrial Cancer: Improvements in Normal Tissue Sparing and Planning Time
To investigate the potential for improved normal tissue sparing achievable using state-of-the-art personalized treatment planning for post-operative radiotherapy in endometrial cancer. Specifically, we compared a semi-automated 2-arc volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) planning technique with intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) planning. We investigated both plan quality differences using VMAT and planning time savings with our semi-automated planning approach.
