27. Differential Methylation at Glucocorticoid-Relevant Regulatory Regions Associated With PTSD in African Americans
Recent genome-scale work has identified African-ancestry specific genetic contributions to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) risk but integrated analyses of other epigenomic data in individuals of predominantly African ancestry are currently lacking. We sought to identify functionally relevant, differentially methylated (DM) genomic sites that associate with PTSD in African-Americans (AA), focusing specifically on genes in the glucocorticoid receptor regulatory network (GRRN) pathway.
