331 Development of in vitro models mimicking the signs of skin fatigue

Signs of skin fatigue result from the combined effects of many lifestyle factors, including emotional aspects, lack of rest or poor sleep. At the cellular level, ATP production and creatine kinase represent the main outputs of energy. Stressful conditions are also linked to an excessive secretion of cortisol, controlled by 11 β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (11β-HSD), whose expression is linked to stress status and skin aging. In the present study, both 2D and 3D in vitro models were developed to evaluate the effects of skin fatigue and their mitigation by a botanical extract.
