Augmenting Speed of Conduction to Improve CRT

We read with great interest the above paper documenting correlation of the S-QRS interval (LV pacing stimulus to QRS onset) with response to CRT. It appears that slowed local conduction in the left ventricle (possibly from local scar formation) is associated with impaired responses. The advice is to search to avoid using left ventricular lead implantation sites positions giving rise to long such intervals.
