12: Variability in gynecologic case volume of graduating obstetrics and gynecology residents from 2009 to 2017

Obstetrics and gynecology resident surgical case volume has evolved over the past decade. In 2018 the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) created a combined minimally invasive hysterectomy (MIH) category and now requires graduating residents to complete a minimum of 70 MIHs, including at least 15 procedures from both total vaginal hysterectomy (TVH) and total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) categories.
