Sputum autoantibody-mediated macrophage dysfunction in severe eosinophilic asthmatics with recurrent infections
Increased levels of sputum autoantibodies (aAbs) were reported in the airways of severe asthmatics with recurrent infective bronchitis. We hypothesized that autoantibody-mediated macrophage (M φ) dysfunction could contribute to impaired host defence.
