[Modern radiological diagnostics in spine surgery].

DISCUSSION: The main indications for p.o. diagnostic imaging, difficulties such as metal artefact formation, and potential pitfalls are analyzed. Entity-specific radiological image patterns, imaging algorithms and differential diagnostic peculiarities are presented and discussed based on current literature and selected case studies.
