We read with great attention the comment made by Tang et  al1 regarding our systematic review and meta-analysis.2 Tang et al1 raised the concern that we could have missed publications by limiting our search strategy to the MEDLINE database and proposed to systematically perform a thorough search by looking into the Cochrane Central Register of Controlle d Trials and EMBASE.
