Source: International Rescue Committee (IRC). Published: 11/8/2018. This seven-page report details the need to deliver contraception in the “spaces in between” in humanitarian settings – where traditional approaches to health system strengthening are inadequate. As the number of people in humanitarian settings grows, there is a critical need for practical examples of how to effectively deliver contraception at every stage of crisi s, from emergency preparedness to emergency response and recovery. The report is a synthesis of approaches that have worked and, if replicated and taken to scale, can meet the needs of the millions of women and girls across the humanitarian-development nexus. (PDF)
