Leiomyosarcoma of the great saphenous vein: case report and literature review

We report the case of a healthy 45-year-old presented with a painless mass located proximally in the right thigh in the line of great saphenous vein. At surgery, the treatment consisted of wide local excision. Histopathological studies confirmed mass as leiomyosarcoma. In light of this report, we draw attention to this rare disease, though with a poor prognosis.
