CONCLUSION: Nurses' attitudes toward and knowledge about communication strategies improved, which enhances their ability to care for stroke patients with communication disorders.
CLINICAL RELEVANCE: Interdisciplinary workshops and speech language pathologist support appear beneficial to nurses working with patients with communication disorders.
