Google Trends as a Resource for Bariatric Education: What do Patients Want to know?

Background: Bariatric Surgery(BS) is an effective treatment for the morbidly obese patient and it is one of the most frequently performed surgical procedures in the United States(US). It is difficult to determine BS levels of interest through traditional approaches. The aim of this study is to use Google Trends(GT) as a tool to analyze the US general population interest in BS.
