Scientists make significant discovery in the fight against drug-resistant tuberculosis

(Newcastle University) Researchers from Newcastle University and Demuris Ltd have identified that a naturally occurring antibiotic, called kanglemycin A -- related to the antibiotic rifampicin -- is active against rifampicin-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
