NFL Players Association invests in Boston ACL repair startup

A Boston startup developing a treatment for torn ACLs emerged from stealth mode this week with $22.5 million in funding from the NFL Players Association and other investors. MIACH Orthopaedics Inc. is testing a bioengineered sponge it hopes will stimulate healing of torn anterior cruciate ligaments.
