In vitro T2 relaxivities of the Gd-based contrast agents (GBCAs) in human blood at 1.5 and 3 T.

Conclusion The r2 values at 1.5 and 3 T, determined for the eight GBCAs still clinically available (other than in Europe), provide a definitive baseline for future evaluations, including theoretical calculations of signal intensity and their clinical impact on T2-weighted scans. Additionally, hydrothermal synthesis is a common method to control nanostructures. In practice, researchers paid more attention to the direct effect of “useful ions” on morphology or size of nanostructures, e.g. the combination and decomposition processes of H+ and WO42− to form WO3. Unfortunately, the effects of ot...

However, at room temperature they possess a B2-ordered crystal structure and, therefore, exhibit reduced ductility. Guided by thermodynamic calculations, the Al concentration was systematically reduced in MoCrTi-xAl (x&n...

The objective of the study was to identify the relationship between subcortical gray matter (GM) volumes and juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME).MethodsWe analyzed the brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans that were performed during the time of the diagnosis of epilepsy by using voxel-based morphometry (VBM) method. The volumetric three-dimensional sequence was used for structural investigation. The volumes of the thalamus, caudate nucleus, pallidum, and putamen were measured in both hemispheres of patients with JME, patients with generalized tonic–clonic seizures alone (GTCS) (as a disease control group) and he...

ConclusionThe risk of injury and seizure exacerbation due to participation in football for patients with epilepsy is low. Clinicians should use their best judgment in deciding whether contact sports increase risks for a particular patient based on individual seizure frequency, concurrent neurological and medical issues, and medication adverse effects.

In this study, we investigated the antibacterial effect of LCE fruit extract (LCEE) against EPEC. The antibacterial activities of LCEE were examined by bacterial growth, time-kill curve, soft-agar motility, electron microscopy, and 96 well-microplate biofilm assays. We also investigated the bacterial mRNA expression of biofilm-associated genes (fliC, csgA, and fimA) by quantitative real-time PCR assays. LCEE was found to suppress the growth, time-kill curve, and spread of EPEC. It also reduced the biofilm formation in a dose-dependent manner. Morphological analysis using transmission and scanning electron microscopy reveal...

The grown CdS films are observed to belong monophasic hexagonal system at all Zn contents through structural and vibrational inspections. The values of crystallites size were determined in range of 16–31 nm...

Its popularity is a result of special properties such as good resiliency, heat resistance, light weight, water proof and durability. In the present work, two woven fabrics were synthesized from polyester microfiber and then coated by calcium silicate/copper oxide-nanoparticles, (CaO3Si/CuO...

The main novelty of this paper refers to the detail investigation of how the laponite RDS influenced of the pKa, and consequently, the water-uptake of these nanocomposites. In parallel, the evidence of inco...

Yesuraj, Krishnendu BiswasAbstractDelafossites, owing to their layered structural characteristics are mostly known for thermoelectric and Lithium ion battery applications. In the present paper we explore the possibility of using such a delafossite oxide viz. CuCrO2 for use as a supercapacitor material. In this regard, multivalent doping at the Cr site of CuCrO2 delafossite compound was carried out to study the effect on its electrochemical properties. The phase formation and morphological studies carr...
