Case Challenge: 70-Year Old Female Who Presented With a 3-Month Non-Healing Leg Wound

Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) is an uncommon chronic and progressive skin disorder that can lead to severe tissue necrosis, pathergy, horrendous pain, and disfigurement if not properly and promptly diagnosed and treated. The presentation was based on previous case report on a patient with PG who initially presented with a history of a painful lower leg wound, presumed to be caused by venous disease.1 Following 3 months of appropriate systemic treatments, topical wound care, and limited progress, a dehydrated human amnion/chorion membrane allograft was applied to the wound.
