Call for Proposals: American Sleep Medicine Foundation Focused Projects Award The American Sleep Medicine Foundation (ASMF) is pleased to announce the Focused Projects Award (FPA) for 2014. Proposed projects can involve a wide variety of topics or problems relevant to sleep medicine and supportive of the broad mission of the ASMF to enhance sleep health for all through research, education and humanitarian aid. Focused Projects proposals can involve outcomes, quality metrics or other aspects of health services research but are not limited to these topics. Small pilot research projects, humanitarian projects, or educational projects and other projects that do not fit under the larger Strategic Research Awards may be considered under this mechanism. Eligibility The following individuals or non-profit organizations are eligible to apply: 1. Individuals such as physicians (MD, DO) or PhDs, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, or other allied health care workers and social workers (NOTE: awards made in response to successful applications from individuals will be made formally to the individual’s host institution rather than an individual) 2. Charitable organizations Although not a formal requirement, the ASMF encourages applicants to propose projects that include collaboration with a physician who is Board certified in sleep medicine and a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).
