Merit-Based Travel Awards for SLEEP 2015 The Sleep Research Society recognizes trainee abstracts of exceptional quality by presenting trainees with Merit-Based Travel Awards.  Winners will receive a financial award, intended to alleviate the cost of travel to the annual SLEEP 2015 meeting.  Trainees may also have the opportunity to gain exposure and experience by giving a short oral presentation of their work in a forum with fellow trainees and senior faculty. Merit-Based Travel Awards are primarily intended to further the career development of students who are actively pursuing an academic degree, or who are in the early stages of postgraduate training in sleep. To apply for a Merit-Based Travel Award, applicants must submit an abstract to SLEEP 2015. The online abstract submission site will open at www.sleepmeeting.org on October 31, 2014. During the abstract submission process the trainee will have an opportunity to indicate that they wish to be considered for this award.  No additional materials are required. Abstracts must be submitted to the SLEEP 2015 abstract website by December 15, 2014. Merit-Based Travel Awards will be judged competitively based on the applicant's abstract.
