Is Low-Level Laser Therapy Effective on Sensorineural Recovery after Bilateral Sagittal Split Osteotomy? Randomised trial

The sagittal osteotomy of the mandibular ramus is performed, the risk of long-term post-surgical sensory abnormalities must be considered, resulting from lesions to the inferior alveolar nerve. One of the forms of treatment for these changes is the Low-Level LASER (LLLT) with therapeutic purpose. Thus, the aim of this research was to evaluate the effectiveness of LLLT on the sensorineural recovery after split ramus osteotomy of the mandible.
