Re: Injured Children Receive Twice the Radiation Dose at Nonpediatric Trauma Centers Compared With Pediatric Trauma Centers

We read with interest the recent article in press, “Injured Children Receive Twice the Radiation Dose at Nonpediatric Trauma Centers Compared With Pediatric Trauma Centers” [1]. We would like to recognize and applaud the effective reductions in exposure Arkansas has made with the use of a statewide image repository. Avoiding redundancy and inap propriate use of ionizing radiation should be the principal means to reduce cumulative radiation dose and associated risk.
