Cost-effectiveness of percutaneous patent foramen ovale closure as secondary stroke prevention.

CONCLUSIONS: Considering the UK healthcare system perspective, percutaneous PFO closure in cryptogenic ischemic stroke patients is a cost-effective stroke prevention strategy compared to medical therapy alone.
