St. Joseph Medical Center builds $1.6M behavioral health unit
St. Joseph Medical Center began construction Monday on an inpatient behavioral health unit. The $1.6 million Senior Behavioral Health Center will host 22 beds to treat older patients with a number of mental health conditions, such as dementia, confusion, anxiety and depression.
The funds will be used to renovate an existing nursing unit in the hospital, to create a secure space for patients.
