The principal reason is the patients that i volunteer with (some of whom have strong views on animal cruelty) may be offended. It also ties in with my views on doctors being 'healers'. Somehow prancing about with a real fur jacket leaves me slightly uncomfortable.
Am i overthinking this? Or making a good choice as a future doctor?
I doubt anyone will notice - you won't be wearing it on the wards for a start so I doubt any patients are going to start throwing red paint over you.
It is rather cruel though, so I personally wouldn't but that's just my opinion.
