Artificial ovaries could replace hormone therapy

Researchers with the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine have found that bioengineered ovaries are more effective than hormone therapy drugs at improving bone and uterine health.   The researchers are looking into the artificial ovaries as an alternative to hormone replacement medications, which work to help with the loss of female sex hormone production.
