Introduction of an ENT Nurse Led Clinic: A Joint Community & Secondary Care Project

Aim: In Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) services many patients requiring ENT treatments such as removal of wax, care of Mastoid cavities, tinnitus management and recurrent tonsillitis or ear infections wait for appointments in routine ENT consultant clinics for a considerable period of time. The aim was to establish a Clinical Nurse practitioner(CNP)-led ENT clinic in a joint Community and Secondary care setting to provide ENT management which is safe, of high quality and sustainable.
