Commentary to ‘Urinary tract infection in children: Diagnosis, treatment, imaging – Comparison of current guidelines’

Implementation of clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) is intended to promote the optimal management approach outcomes for a given clinical entity. Although numerous pediatric urinary tract infections (PUTI) CPGs have been published over the past decade, the inherent inconsistencies in their recommendations have led to confusion and difficulty in their implementation. Okarska-Napiera ła et al. [1] have addressed the aforementioned concerns by comparing the available guidelines on PUTI, and summarized the similarities and differences of the recommendations.
