Phoenix City Council to vote on proposal to take legal action against pharma firms over opioid epidemic
The Phoenix City Council will vote today on a plan to take legal action against pharmaceutical companies and distributors whose fraudulent marketing helped to create a national opioid epidemic.
Plans call for hiring outside legal counsel to represent the city in legal action against these opioid manufacturers and distributors. The city would issue a Request for Proposals.
