106 ECG predictors of ventricular arrhythmia and non arrhythmic death in the subcutaneous implantable cardioverter defibrillator population

Introduction: A minority of patients with implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD) receive appropriate treatment for life threatening arrhythmias, whilst a large proportion receive no benefit from device implantation due to non-arrhythmic death. The electrocardiogram (ECG) is a readily available and inexpensive investigation. ECG parameters that predict likelihood of ventricular arrhythmia can improve risk discrimination and have been successfully identified in the transvenous ICD population.
