[Correspondence] The oldest-old in China

In The Lancet (April 22, p 1619), Yi Zeng and colleagues1 focus on an important segment of the rapidly ageing population in China. From a public health perspective, their study is valuable because the oldest-old age group represents the most neglected and socially disadvantaged people, who have the greatest burden of non-communicable disease, in Chinese society.
