Complex Endovascular Abdominal Aneurysm Repair with Fenestrated Endograft Insertion under Hypnosis and Local Anesthesia
Hypnosis is used in various interventional radiology procedures (1,2) and may represent an alternative to general anesthesia in high-risk patients. Complex endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) usually requires general anesthesia, which can lead to complications, especially in patients with comorbidities. This case report describes complex EVAR of a pararenal abdominal aorta aneurysm successfully performed under hypnosis and local anesthesia with intravenous analgesic drugs.
