Effects of major adipokines on the long-term outcome of patients with acute ischemic stroke
Aim: The effects of adiponectin, leptin and resistin on the long-term outcome of ischemic stroke are controversial. We aimed to evaluate whether serum levels of these adipokines and the -420C>G polymorphism of the resistin gene promoter affect the long-term outcome of ischemic stroke.
