Amy and Ben Wright, from North Carolina, admit they were scared of raising kids with Down syndrome. But now they are overjoyed - and have opened a cafe staffed by people with disabilities.

In conclusion, we demonstrate that PGZ is able to improve mitochondrial phenotype even at low concentrations (0.5 μM). We also speculate that combination of drugs that target mitochondrial function might be advantageous, offering potentially higher efficacy and lower individual drug dosage.

Conclusions and implicationsAlthough professionals have a lot of knowledge about the specific neurodevelopmental disorders, further evidence-based training would allow more effective support for children with neurodevelopmental disorders in the classroom but also equip professionals better and raise their confidence in meeting these children’s needs.
