Ascension buys property next to shuttered Blue Mound Road hospital

Ascension Wisconsin, which one year ago closed a hospital on West Blue Mound Road north of the Milwaukee County Zoo, bought an adjacent parcel that includes a medical office building and parking structure. When Ascension announced closing Wheaton Franciscan - Midwest Spine& Orthopedic Hospital and Wisconsin Heart Hospital, Ascension said plans were in the works for redeveloping the Blue Mound campus.
