The Addition of Target Therapy to Neoadjuvant Chemoradiotherapy in Locally Advanced Rectal Cancer: A Review

Currently, neoadjuvant fluoropyrimidine-based chemoradiotherapy (CRT) is standard practice in the management of locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC). In the last decade there has been a lively interest in the improvement of clinical outcomes by modifying this standard regimen by the addition of further agents.
