Call for Entries: ProjectMED Video Challenge Deadline: September 5, 2014 Motivate, Engage, and Develop for the Future of Health Care The Challenge How can your medical school and/or teaching hospital work with your local elementary school, high school or district to increase the diversity of future physicians and scientists? The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) is challenging medical schools and teaching hospitals to engage community partners and develop new models to work with local elementary schools, high schools, colleges, and community-based organizations to increase the diversity of future physicians and scientists. Individuals at medical schools and teaching hospitals are invited to form a 3-6 person team led by a medical student or resident in partnership with community members to produce a 5-minute video proposing an innovative way your institution would like to engage individuals within the K-12 public education system. Awards The top three videos will receive seed funding to implement their innovative programming in their community: First place: $7,000 Second place: $5,000 Third place: $3,000 How to Participate Sign up for email updates on ProjectMED and for submission information Form a 3- to 6-person team comprised of medical students, residents, faculty, leadership, community members, and elementary, high school, or college students.
