DWI-ASPECTS and NIHSS at baseline predict responsiveness to the mechanical endovascular thrombectomy after thrombolysis for acute ischemic stroke

【Background】Multicenter randomized control trials have demonstrated that additional endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) after intravenous infusion of rt-PA may improve functional outcome of patients with acute ischemic stroke. However, it could potentially trigger hemorrhagic transformation. We, the refore, tried to elucidate factors to determine responsiveness to EVT.
