The quality of life for patients with urethral stricture is poor and possibly even worse than those with other lower urinary tract diseases. The reason is likely because of the marked degree of obstruction that causes a broad spectrum of symptoms including voiding and storage lower urinary tract symptoms combined frequently with other signs/symptoms such as genitourinary pain, urinary tract infection, periurethral abscess, renal failure and even malignancy.1
