Abstract IA09: A drug delivery method selective for senescent cells

The accumulation of senescent cells occurs in multiple human degenerative pathologies and are also present within tumors. Senescent cells, although not proliferating, are very active in secreting cytokines that may fuel the growth of tumor cells. Therefore, the selective elimination of senescent cells may bring benefits to the treatment of many diseases, including cancer. I will present a strategy to selective deliver drugs to senescent cells in vivo.Citation Format: Manuel Serrano. A drug delivery method selective for senescent cells. [abstract].
