Occupational Health and Safety Seminar Series: The University of Hawaii at Manoa Explosion

Join us as we learn about the tragic explosion that occurred in a research lab at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. The presenter, John Veitch, CIH, is the Chief of the Safety Operations and Support Branch in the Division of Occupational Health and Safety. He has worked at the NIH for nearly 8 years, starting as the safety officer supporting the Office of Research Facilities. During his time supporting ORF he received his professional certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist. In 2013 he assumed the role of Branch Chief of SOSB, where his staff provides expert technical safety guidance to the NIH research community.
