Participation in this program is voluntary. However, the SRL program differs from FEMA’s other mitigation grant programs in that those property owners who decline offers of mitigation assistance will be subject to increases to their insurance premium rates. Interested Applicants should consult Section 1.3, Authorization and Appropriation, of the SRL Program Guidance. Projects or initiatives that are eligible for funding under this announcement may or may not involve Geospatial (GIS) issues.
