As the general population worldwide is ageing, effective and safe treatment of older T2DM patients is becoming more important in clinical practice. Elderly T2DM patients should be carefully evaluated for functional, mental, geriatric and medical disorders before the initiation of antidiabetic drug therapy and regularly monitored thereafter. Treatment strategy and goals should be individualized based on patient co-morbidities and drug pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties. Conclusions: The higher prevalence of elevated FG and/or T2DM among Roma does not seem to be directly linked to their increased genetic load but rather to their environmental/cultural attributes. Interventions targeting T2DM prevention among Roma should focus on harmful environmental exposures related to their unhealthy lifestyle.
Conclusions: Investing in and funding basic and translational childhood diabetes research and encouraging collaborative studies, will bring enormous benefits financially, economically, and socially for the whole of the Middle East region.

We report a case of a 36-year-old woman with type 2 diabetes mellitus and a one-year of primary infertility. Following oral ovulation induction cycles and IUI, diagnosis of heterotopic cervical pregnancy was made by ultrasonography at 7.4 weeks of gestation. Laser ablation of the cervical pregnancy was performed achieving adequate homeostasis at the implantation site and preserving the intrauterine pregnancy. A healthy infant was delivered at 36 0/7 wks by cesarean-section.Laser ablation is a minimally invasive procedure that appears to lead to successful outcomes in treatment of heterotopic cervical pregnancy.
