American Academy of Family Physicians National Conference Scholarships Scholarship applications are due May 1, 2014. Your application, with the required essay or supporting documents, must be received via fax, email, or mail postmarked no later than May 1, 2014. You must be a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) to apply. All scholarships are provided by the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation. This was made possible by the donations of individual family physicians across the country. Rules and Information You must be a member of the AAFP to apply. If you are a previous National Conference scholarship recipient, you may not apply for the same scholarship. The number of scholarships in each category varies from year to year, depending on the number of applicants. Scholarship recipients are selected by a panel of judges. The $600 scholarship is intended to help reduce out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., registration, travel, lodging, meals) to attend National Conference. All scholarship checks are awarded at National Conference. If you are unable to attend the conference, your scholarship will be forfeited. All scholarships are provided by the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation.
