Ostra zanerkowa niewydolno ść nerek jako nietypowe powikłanie ostrego zapalenia wyrostka robaczkowego – opis przypadku

In this report we present the case of an 8-year-old boy with phlegmonous appendicitis and accompanying rotavirus infection who on the fourth day after appendectomy developed postrenal acute renal failure with anuria due to bilateral ureteric obstruction. Bilateral ureteral catheterization resulted in a quick restoration of diuresis and complete recovery of renal function. To date, only several pediatric cases with similar complication of acute appendicitis have been described in the literature.
