Professor Andrew Hattersley awarded 2016 Royal Society GlaxoSmithKline Prize

We are delighted to congratulate Society member Professor Andrew Hattersley FRS, who has been awarded the 2016 Royal Society GlaxoSmithKline Prize and Lecture. Andrew received the notable award for his outstanding work on genetic and physiological studies of patients with common subtypes of monogenic diabetes revolutionising treatment for these patients. The Royal Society GlaxoSmithKline Prize and Lecture is awarded biennially for 'original contributions to medical and veterinary sciences published within ten years from the date of the award'.
