Nurse Practitioners ’ Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices Surrounding Adult Hepatitis Vaccination
An online survey was conducted to investigate knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding hepatitis A and hepatitis B vaccination among 409 nurse practitioners (NPs). While most NPs (>80%) were knowledgeable about the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommendations for adult hepatitis A and hepatitis B vaccination, self-reported adherence to guidelines was suboptimal. Among NPs, 25% to 45% reported having no recent vaccination training, and>80% were interested in receiving training.
